KU-J is a local artist and part of the freedom fighters and has made some very good songs like "my town". Here he sings about the degradation of his town with the landfill. With this song he performed last year at Enviroweek 2007.

Children on St. Maarten Against Pollution
Also on St. Maarten children are very worried about the many pollution problems like the waste disposal and littering. They have expressed their feelings about pollutionon a cd called " We rap against pollution".
They want you to start thinking about the daily impact of your garbage on the environment. We all have a choice with every action we take. To produce garbage or not and if you have the choice is to litter or not. With this cd Nature Foundation likes to stress the importance of this. This cd can be obtained at the Museum in Frontstreet or the office of Nature Foundation in Cole Bay (Next to Montessori School) for 10 USD.
